The PICU with active status and 4 active beds with specialty and specialized pediatric specialty admission are located on the ground floor at the end of the corridor and adjacent to the NICU. This department was set up in 1395.

Purposes of the PICU sector

Special care for children from patients in a quiet environment without any noise by experienced and experienced personnel with the best quality to improve their health with minimal complications and with the help of special equipment such as ventilator, cardiac monitoring, etc.

 

Patients admitted to the PICU department

In this section, patients with uncontrolled seizures, severe respiratory distress, decreased consciousness following meningitis or metabolic encephalitis, poisoning (fungus, methadone, drug), SMA, gilanabra, uncontrolled DKA, apnea, and cyanosis are admitted.

Patient acceptance processes

Patients in this section are generally delivered to the emergency department and to a smaller number of other departments. Patients are initially advised by anesthesiologist and admitted to the PICU, if needed, to the intensive care unit. When delivered, the nurse controls the patient in terms of Glasco Coma Scale, blood pressure, pulse, and oxygen saturation and temperature. All the illnesses such as Foley catheter, chest tube and gastric nasal catheter ... and its history are noted. If the patient is admitted to another hospital, the items that have been worn for a long time have been removed and sent for cultivation. Each day, it is monitored and recorded each time in a special form of vital symptoms. Daily capture and recovery of the patient is monitored and recorded. That is precisely the amount of serum, gavage fluids, volume of urine, and the amount of suction secretions measured and recorded. Tests are done according to the physician's instructions. ABG is given to patients on a daily basis. CT scan and other graphs are done according to the physician's instructions. Patients and mouth changes are performed every three hours by nurses. Physiotherapy is done by a physiotherapist according to the physician's instructions. For patients with prolonged intubation, tracheostomy and for patients requiring intestinal nutrition for a long time, sometimes even for life, PEG is for patients who have pleural effusion. Turtle-plating (Dorne Pleur), after obtaining consent from companions and by specialist The relevant one is done. Other diagnostic procedures, such as ultrasound, echo and grafts, are performed portably and in the interior. Ultrasonography, echo and grafts are performed outside the department in the case of Stable patients who do not need oxygen.
